PPP Hand Protection

Nitrile work glove.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) helps protect technicians from hazardous materials and injuries. Most technicians are using or have used nitrile and latex gloves. Nitrile gloves are synthetic and more durable. These gloves help protect hands from dirt, grease, and chemicals. Latex gloves offer better movement but less durability. Some people are allergic to latex.

Hand Gloves

Cloth and synthetic rubber glove.

Nitrile and latex gloves come in a box and are considered disposable. Cloth and synthetic rubber gloves are durable and offer better protection from scrapes and scratches than nitrile and latex gloves.

High Voltage Hand Protection

 A hybrid motor and engine.

EV technicians wear electrical insulated gloves for safe work and high voltage hand protection. Class 00 protects up to 500V AC and Class 0 protects up to 1000V AC. Check with the manufacturer. Electrical gloves must be inspected and checked before and after each use and electrically tested before purchase and retested at least every six months.
