Common Electrical Symbols

Electrical symbols represent different components in an electrical schematic diagram. These symbols are found in automotive block and wiring diagrams. Automotive manufacturers use block diagrams of individual circuits. They’re handy because they break down and simplify a diagram large enough to cover an entire table. Note that a splice is denoted by a black dot. This indicates a junction or wires that are joined together.
